but i'm not at all happy about this claim of mall and maul as homophones

not in fucking english matey!

mall rhymes with hal, as in hal 9000

just because the n00bs over the water can't say it properly is no reason for the rest of us to start abusing the language

let this go and it's a slippery slope to thinking that rout and route are homophones, it'd be the end of civilization as we know it

Having said that, I'm always unsure how Pall Mall is supposed to be said, like Marylebone or Grosvenor
