Spit or swallow?When offered custard cream or garibaldi I always opt for the custard cream safe in the knowledge that I will not be eating any dead flies which I would have to cough into my handkerchief whilst distracting my hostess by complimenting her upon her unusual teapot. Do you have a mental strategy for dealing with the dead fly/garibaldi association and if you were to find that you were eating a real dead fly would you spit or swallow? Would your answer differ if you were in polite company?
