I have a couple for yaFirst when I went to visit a ruined castle in richmond (north Yorks) with some friends, we found this spooky looking stairway leading down to a cellar, so we walked down the stairs, but it got too dark, so we went to get a torch, we tied a scarf around a tree just by the steps and were gone about 2 mins, when we got back we untied the scarf, but the doorway was blocked by an iron grille... and the stairs stopped half way down.
We did think someone had played a joke on us, so we walked around the entire perimiter of the castle looking for the doorway, but it was not there. So we spoke to the curator, and showed him where the doorway was, he said it was the cellars down the steps where the drummer boy of Richmond set off on his journey

Another is when I stayed at a remote farm house with my then boyfriend, I woke up in the night to hear footsteps walking over the ceiling, but we were alone in the house, I was uncomfortable thinking it might be Rats, but then the doors started to slam, I opened the bedroom door, all the doors on the landing were closed. I closed the door, walked back to bed, they started slamming again, this went on for a few minutes, my boyfriend said to ignore it & it would stop... it did.
The next morning I woke up, my laces had been removed from my trainers and were hanging on the door handle and the money in my purse had been taken out & arranged in piles on the mantlepice... and all the doors on the landing were open.
That said, I still do knot know it I believe in ghosts... but I am definitely open minded!
