Do you allowangel stories? I'm not even sure if my story is of an angel, or what. Involves a 'spirit', but it definitely saved my life. Can a ghost save your life? Anyways...
When I was a youngin, I went to a church camp in Central Pennsylvania. My first year there, our cabin's (and our next-door cabin's) leaders wanted to take us swimming at a nearby creek. I was a little late getting back to the cabin before I heard we were going swimming, so I didn't have any time to get into my trunks. Thus, in blue jeans and a t-shirt, I headed with my buddies down a trail to the creek.
We got there and my friends immediately jumped in the water. They soon asked me to come in the water with them, so I jumped in, blue jeans and all. I had no idea how strong the current was as it quickly took me downstream, and I found myself going under a little; I never had thoughts about drowning. But I began going under more and more, taking in big gulps of water, til I could hardly breathe. Suddenly, a women (she looked late 20's/early 30's, wearing a one-piece suit) came under me, and began swimming AGAINST the current, carrying me back to the rock that our leaders were waiting on.
I began choking out water as she set me on the rock. Our cabin leader (and my friends) rushed to the shoreline, asking me if I was okay. I barely managed out a 'Yeah...' when I began looking around for the woman... and she wasn't there!
Honest to God, she simply vanished. My friends and my leaders all saw her carry me back to the rock, but they were all looking at me when they got there, and none of them saw her leave. She couldn't have headed back up the trail, for as narrow as it was, both leaders were blocking it. And surely one of us would have seen her swim down (or up) the creek. Besides, she just saved my frickin life, why would she leave? I'll let you guys decide.
Another thought... do ghosts only appear at night, and angels during the day? just curious
