# Dopey geographers
Hmmm, generally been pretty lucky, been in some nice houses with some nice people. However (this is in sunny Reading) after a few years of calm, various people move out, well people eventually write up their PhDs.

So we look for someone new, only applicant is a 2nd year Geography undergrad, called for the sake of argument, John (his real name). Seemed quiet and OK. Shame he turned into a dope dealing happy baby orangutan. Nothing wrong with that as such, apart from the coming home at 4am, many mates in tow and proceeding to play very loud DnB. And wandering around in an impenetrable haze all year.

Biscuit was taken by the neighbours knocking on the door about 1am, complaining someone was lurking about in their garden. Some of John's 'mates' attempting a spot of breaking and entering.

Freaked us out totally by straightening out for a couple of weeks before his exams (didn't do him much good). Kept walking into the lounge, saying hello and asking if anyone wanted a cup of tea. Very scary.

Still, got rid of him eventually. His final performance was in a pub a few months later. Was in there with my newish girlfriend, spotted John, who owed us a fair bit for the phonebill. Asked (very politely) if he could maybe see his way towards getting us the cash some time. Reply a mumbled grunt. Couple of hours later, he stumbles over and has a twenty minute paranoid rant at me (and my amazingly understanding gf) about how we hated him and never made him feel welcome etc etc....never saw him again.

Typically of course, I now like drum and bass, and can I find anyone to by gear off? Still, judging by others on here, I got away pretty lightly.
