who hosts your server?gdlib gives you access to lots of image functions like image resizing (to create thumbnails) and allocating colours (used that to generate greyscale thumbs for the photos and also to give the photos a background colour to fill the square)

- I wanted something that did the basics, but would also let me include the gallery in other pages without taking the full page, and something I could customise
