you certainly didi just had to think of something different to do with it :P
The cracks are done with colour burn and some careful editing to make sure the cracks on the face don't carry onto the hands / fingers

yeah thats what i thoughtif u used multiply blending mode and reduce the opacity it might look better! :o)
