i borrowed my mate's bought copy of suse7.3when that was new.
never went on right and severly fucked me about. i tried four installs in one week, but it just didn't take. would crash the entire machine for no good reason every hour. since i'm new to this whole thing, i rather like mandrake. they realised that not everyone is a UNIX guru.

yesMandrake is one of the best installs I've done. It goes on cleanly, and more hardware stuff works right from the install than redhat. 8.1 is the first SuSE I've tried, and I've been really impressed by it. I reckon you need to install linux a few times just as part of the learning process. Maybe if you revisted SuSE it would be nicer.

by the wayhave you thought of having a text file open with an exclamtion mark in it to cut and paste as necessary? :O)
