
Whenever I did something mildy naughty growing up, my dad would always say, "That's a smacking offence, that is."
However, it took me until I was 18 to find out he was saying that. Until then, I always heard, "That's a smack in a fence, that is" and I always pictured him going out into the back garden and whacking the fence. Often wondered how it related to me being naughty.
I have another story about my dad when I was growing up, but I think the NSPCC check the board.
