I live in the States - Virginia.
Local radio sux, so on 9-11, I was listening to streaming audio from a station in Edmonton Alberta when the news hit.
I tried to connect to the CNN, FOX, AP, UPI, ABC, CBS and NBC websites and, at best, got a static image with a 'we're working on it' blurb.
In desperation, I pulled up BBC.co.uk and got streaming video of the collapse of the towers and news of the Pentagon hit.
Not that I'd ever placed much faith in the various US news services, but that was pretty-much the icing on the cake...
