We have one almost everyday.The building i am in has a Clock Tower and we are in the room below that.
They come in through the access panel and then we have a ceiling tile removed to allow Cat 5 Cabling into the ceiling runner. They get in there somehow. Pesky critters.

Get maintenance to whack some chicken wire over the hole and run the Cat 5 through it.
