count strings from the bottom, you'll notice he's on the second string, i first thought it was a B until I noticed the E string was not actually being touched ;)

Hence the /E the open E is being used as a variant instead
I suggest you explore open harmonic chords. They sound lully BTW especially if you're using a 12 string

only things it can be from his positioning would be an E5 or Amaj7 at a push but no B, wrong strings. oh well, agree to disagree :)
