
If EssJay's opinions can survive scrutiny at wikipedia for years, then either
1) People were looking at his PhD instead of what he said, which is something they should stop doing in all other cases too, even when confronted with real PhDs
or
2) This was as good a test of his wisdom as getting a PhD.
