In a desperate attempt to raise cash for his struggling film project, 'withnail & I', director bruce robinson took the unusual step of inviting corporate sponsorship into the film. This scene was cut from the final edit when McDonalds realised that funding the IRA and having a pop at the irish gave out mixed messages.
