Well, since you ask
Ancient* / I believe it happens / Tenessee.
Widley eh? I was actually in Portsmouth just 3 weeks ago. Grew up in Horndean. If you get a chance, check out one (or both) of my brother's bands, ('Dropzone' or 'Stolen Goods')
*(ok, 37)

Haha small world.
Where are your brother's bands from & what style are they?
I can check them out then possibly get them some radio play.
37 isn't ancient, at all ^_^

S'funny world
When I was over I spent some time a floor or so away from ivesb and spent a fair chunk of time not far away from Widley (up in Purbrook)
Both bands play fairly heavy stuff. I understand Dropzone plays the heavier stuff (unfortunately I've blanked on what they play but I know they stopped playing Greenday after people kept calling them "the band that plays Greenday"). Stolen Goods go a bit lighter and aren't quite so polished. Stolen Goods is Portsmouthy based and Dropzone is more Chichester way.
I can't believe I'm blanking on what they play, I only saw them a few weeks ago. There was definitely some Rage Against the Machine and Slipknot.
They're supporting Tygers of Pan Tang in Brighton on the 20th.

Well,
Unfortunately, to pull you back into awkward-space for a second, it was The Rowans. So not fun-happening-time I'm afraid.
I ended up moving away cause the weather is too depressing. Rain and cold I can handle but I need a bit of sunshine once in a while. I get that out here but it's also nice and green like England too. I do miss a good pint though.
Every time I go back, things seem to be worse though. House prices crazy high, roads too crowded, government getting too uppity. I'll always have a soft spot for England but I don't think I'll ever move back permanently.

Ah, I see
That is just down the road though... There is a very small chance that our paths may have crossed.
Can kinda see what you mean about England's weather, but I personally don't really mind it.
The government/house prices/inheritance tax etc are all completely screwed though... so fair enough about that!
Do you have MySpace yourself?

I do.
But to be honest, I don't use it much and have forgotten the link. I'll dig it out and gaz you with it.

Wow, awesome
This certainly makes finding local bands for my radio show (I only help) easier!

It's Express FM
Portsmouth voluntary radio station...
The show I work on is called 'BD's Rock Show' or 'The Midweek Mosh Up' plus 'Thrashman's Mosh' incorporated into the show...
Quite a lot of local rock bands get played by BD and Thrashman, they're faaairly well known.
