I'm hoping that m3ssential has caught up with his interweb viewing
by now so I can talk about it.
Manchester United have just won the European Champions League cup final on a penalty shoot-out. I've never, ever been more nervous. I nearly pissed my pants and even turned it over 3 times because I could not bear to watch.
edit:// also, fuck you Peter Kenyon, you turncoat bastard. Enjoy your no trophies this season.

i was having visions of manchester being trashed by pissed-off fans and hearing the rangers fans saying "see? it wasn't our fault!"

We would not have trashed the place.
We would have just cried. I've cried anyway. I'm so bastard livid I did not go to Moscow.

I've been loads of times
( we used to buy ships for scrap from Kiev ) but football matches have taken over a huge part of my life in the past and even though the wife is a footy fan ( we went to paris together for the world cup final 98 and Barcelona the last time Utd won the ECL ) I decided last year to tone down my attendance. I could have had tickets for this 2 months ago but Utd were not yet in the final and I dithered then said no. I'm such an idiot. Barcelona was the best night of my life. I am looking at the TV just agonising that I'm not there sharing.
Moscow is lovely btw.
