i've just realised

that the start of this was chitty chitty bang bang related

whereas i was merely talking about the urban myth that POSH originated like above.

I literally never knew that was a false or real etymology of the word posh.

In fact I never even really noted that the phrase Port Out Starboard Home even spelt posh.

Probably why your comment seemed to make no sense really.
