# Nouns can refer to more than one thing. (eg. Jewish race, Jewish religion)
Also, other words can mean more than one thing, and AMAZINGLY more than one meaning can be correct.

In this case, race has more meanings than the scientific meaning.

Now we know that you've studied something at school, but do be a dear and don't do the common thing of assuming that your piece of domain specific knowledge means that you are the worlds authority on all related, or *apparently related* in this case, matters.

You're the only one here specifying races in the biological classification sense of the word.

# I apologise for ruffling your feathers.
I just fail to see how anybody educated can confuse ethnicity ( which is social ) race ( which is genetic )

you can't argue that arab/armenid hybrids are the same as northern Europeans yet they are both the majority make up of the Jewish.

Even Israel's law of return defines a jew as "Definition 4B. For the purposes of this Law, "Jew" means a person who was born of a Jewish mother or has become converted to Judaism and who is not a member of another religion." which means that I can convert and go live in Israel as a Jew in whatever time period that process takes. But I remain Caucasian ( if somewhat brainwashed )

# But I'm not talking about genetics or Israeli law
I'm talking about language. Race is not just genetic, that's only one definition. Go and look at the OED definition, that's the closest thing we have to an official language reference, and it's very clear.
