Lollity!(Except that carrots don't really give you better sight in the dark, that was just a lie the government spread during WW2 to explain how our pilots could detect Luftwaffe bombers from way off in the distance during the night. The real reason of course was that our chaps had the wonder of science on their side (yay for science!) in the form of Radar but obviously it was for the best for the Krauts not to know that such a thing was possible hence why they told everyone that carrots = optical goodness)
