
It was a genuine question. I seem to recall someone saying that the way Flash describes it gradients as vector information.
But, that was a long time ago, and I'm close to senility.

common in vector scaled images and it's the reason why illustrator is the best tool for the job because of the excellent gradient mesh tools.
you can make an image in photoshop with shapes but it's still made with pixels so is not a vector.
Vector graphics are built on mathematical formulae and not pixels. That's the difference.

I'm sure that chap (Miyamoto) was giving a 'Inspiration Session' at an Adobe gig I went to in the US a while back.
