
the birghtness and contrast really thats why you see allot of horror films in the 90's are dark. it saves on special effects because the mind fills in the bits you cant see. there are loads of little tricks, and I dont know how to do most of them but with a bit of practice it gets easyer. The joke is more important than the image quality I think.
