# I have no idea what subpop is mate.
You know me, I don't keep up with this stuff.
It just so happens I got an invite to WhatCD ( which along with Waffles is just about the top end of private bit torrenting for music ) and I picked it up out of interest. Album is remember the night parties, from 2006.

I had Ry Cooder on previously and then I have Astrud Gilberto cued up so I'm no barometer for quality and taste.

# I'm a member of what.cd myself, but I rarely use it - I tend to use mediafire to download music.
Just had a listen to the MP3s on Subpop. Seems pleasant enough just not really anything exceptionally special. Perhaps I listened to the wrong tracks?

Edit: and with regards to what/waffles, I preferred Oink :(

# It's not great stuff
to be honest and as i get further into the album it's becoming more standard US guitar band in a Green Day fashion which id not my thing. I think I spoke too soon and they fooled me with the opening tracks.

OFF!

# Sub Pop is an establihed, Seattle-based record label.
It's famous for giving the world Mudhoney, Dwarves, Tad and other well-known turns.

One overrated turn in particular.

# I, too, prefer Mudhoney. Superfuzz is essential to my mind.

# I happen to think that
the output of Nirvana was nothing more than run of the mill American drivel.
Not in the slightest the kind of noise I prefer.
