To be honest, I'm not 100% sure what Steampunk is.I'm thinking 'League of Extraordinary Gentlemen'(?)

I've read, and re-read this: 'This week's challenge is to celebrate Steampunk and the age of Victorian sci-fi, where airships and steam power exist alongside 19th century versions of more modern developments.', but don't get what it's actually asking for.
As I said, I wasn't directly aiming my comment at you. It's late, and I should be in bed.

agree, its late...nerr didn't take it personally, i was just plaing on the word punk.. but i notice that the main similarites between the retro science fic and this one is the number of at-at in it..
tryed to read the wiki entry.. agree that league of extra gentlemen is stemapunk, and if you every read different engine tha is also steam punk...
