Swastika
Agreed, the left facing swastika used here is not correct, it was right facing instead
Ironically and traditionally (it still applies in many eastern religions)
Left Facing swastika, is an omen, bad sign, sign of evil; etc.
Right facing swastika (as used ala Nazi) is the opposite, quite a positive sign
Some religions however have since abolished the symbol, or switched it over so the right facing swastikka is now bad; to fit in with the whole evil Nazi connotation.... Ahhhh adaptive religion... Do what we say, until we tell you it's all wrong, then listen to what we say instead or bad things will happen to you...
There I've saved you from pedancy Unklian by being more of one myself :P

not quite true...
in fact, the two were largely interchangeable. I read a very interesting article on it, somewhere - if you're particularly excited about the topic, I'll dig it out.
But in any event - I'd much rather have adaptive religions than those which reject any form of change. Gay priests/women bishops/whatever else? Why the fuck not. If they want to be religious, fine - at least they're doing it with a modern slant. Got to be preferable to the inflexible ones that would condemn us to life in the dark ages...
