# Thanks
Bit disappointed with the blur and getting the copied areas inline with the main image but reckon it can be tweaked.

*Waits for Millbank to issue a gagging order*

# its only browns face that fucks it up!
I still cant see what blur your talking about?

Mandy is fucking evil!

# Yeah - It's a real let down
I used Gaussian blur on Gimp to take the edge off the sharper modern images. The source image for Mandy is a rather benign promo shot .... Now tweked to unleash the inner menace

# In shop I would
A. make a few layers, 1, very blur, 2 mid blur, 3 real pic, 4 very sharp. 5, one jpg saved to get blocks
I'd then mix an match with opacticy.

OR

B. Just blur out one colour channel. pick the one with the most detail and knock it down a bit.

not too sure how with the gimp.

Gaussian blur is a bit of a hammer.

# Cheers for that
At the moment I'm just starting out (not that anyone could tell from the high quality of my images :D) ..... It's mostly a process of trial and error so all advice gratefully recieved.

I've had a tweak and it looks a bit better
