That must be the ultimate fail for an author.Seeing their book in the 'Please take one' basket outside Oxfam.
I mate of mine has written a couple of books and when his first came out he dived into a Waterstones when I was with him to see how long it would take him to get thrown out for signing all his own books. :P

Actually I don't think it would be.He didn't identify himself when he went in so that's what they thought he was doing.
