If you add an ingreadient with a strong flavour to an established product,
you can get away with using an inferior standard of your established product.
And, probably sell it for a bit extra too.
In other words:
poor quality cereal + hazelnuts = cereal not going to waste = cash for shareholders.
poor quality olive oil + chilli = oil not going to waste = cash for shareholders.
Every time you see something added to a normal product like that, ask yourself; 'what are they trying to hide?'
