Beautiful Days Festival

BEAUTIFUL DAYS 2006

Beautiful Days is now approaching its fourth year and has fast become one of the most popular and talked about festival on the UK summer scene. Tickets for Beautiful Days 2006 sold out before the end of May.

Beautiful Days is the Levellers festival, organised by DMF Productions and is set in the gorgeous surroundings of Escot Park in the heart of Devon. It’s a family music festival that captures the spirit of festivals of old.

Beautiful Days is a vibrant weekend of world-class music with spectacular site art, loads of children's activities & workshops, camping facilities, licensed bars from local company Otter Brewery, carefully selected food and craft stalls and there is even a ‘village shop’ on site from Talaton.

Headlining the Main Stage on Friday are indie-funk Mercury Music prize winners Gomez, Saturday is Killing Joke – one of the most influential bands of the last twenty years and Sunday headliners are, of course, the ultimate festival band Levellers themselves.

Other bands on the Main Stage and Big Top this year include reggae legends Steel Pulse, Eighties indie heroes Echo and the Bunnymen, Martha Wainwright, The Proclaimers, Devon’s Seth Lakeman, ska legends The Selecter, Hayseed Dixie, Cara Dillon, Karine Polwart, Buzzcocks, Bhangra drummers Dhol Foundation, Larry Love (Alabama 3) Showband, Drunk in Public, Dan Donnelly, Nick Harper and many, many more. Artists in the Little Big Top include Krafty Kuts, Barry Scratchy Myers (Clash tour DJ), Beatz & Bobz, Ben & Lex, Freq Nasty, Dib Dub, DIY, Pama international and Nick Mannaseh.

From folk to comedy, punk to reggae, you’ll find it all at Beautiful Days this year. As well as a top line-up of bands and DJ’s, the festival has comedy from Perrier award winner Dylan Moran and a host of performance and walkabout artists to keep you entertained around the site. The action takes place over five stages this year with the Main Stage, Big Top, Little Big Top and new for 2006 the Pussy Parlure (Spiegel Tent) and the Bimble Inn.
