how is the distance measured?
is it from the point jumped to the point landed across the surface or is it a cross sectional horizontal distance from the point jumped to the point landed? If it's distance along the surface you could just create a very steep ramp to land on and smash the record...I mean sure, the jumper would probably be near vertical and travelling at terminal velocity...
