OMG, so many memories.
Mid 1984.
I already owned "The Reflex" on 7" vinyl, then on my birthday, a girl I fancied gave me the 12". Sadly, it was _exactly_ the same. Literally, 4 mins 20 seconds.
The B-side was OK though; "come up and see me" - which lead me to discover Cockney Rebel.
I had a John Taylor cushion. One of those really old-school transfer prints that piggled off. Another girlfrield picked out his eyeballs, so he looked like a zombie.
Saw them live that year too Nottingham "Theatre Royal". (IIRC, which is dubious). They were shit, which led me into the world of indie and goth.
