That is very sad indeed
I loved watching his telly as a kid. One thing always bugged me as a kid, though - he always did just that bit too much on everything he made on telly, and tended to render it twee at the last second. But it was cocking ace he was there on the screen, bigging up the stuff I loved most - art.
