Wait
drug use is down? I can understand drug-related crime being down (for various reasons, not least of which being the fact that when stuff stops being illegal, doing it isn't a crime any more) and whatnot, but if drug use is down that suggests that there were people who were taking drugs just because they were illegal. That seems like some pretty odd behaviour to me.

It just occurred to me
that relaxing drug laws might make it easier for drug addicts to seek help and thus get off drugs. So that makes sense then.
