However, I think your solution is wrong. Rather than 'MOAR PUPPETS' it should be - 'APPROACH PEOPLE WHO ARE BEHIND GLASS (OR FAILING THAT STONED)'
Speaking from experience, I always feel more inclined to interact with a seemingly harmless lunatic when:
a) There is a physical barrier between us.
or
b) I am under the influence of drink or drugs.

This is totally true. We found that stoned and people who felt protected from us enjoyed our show the most.
