I loved this game
The last summer I was in Hong Kong and Macau, and went to the Maritime Museum. I've been told the story from both the UK and there, and I feel I have a more balanced perspective of it. To those who say "History is written by the winner", that isn't true: history is written, like everything else, for its local audience.
Anyway, sorry for the tangent, but I loved this game as it plays well and shines light on an under-reported part of history.

i dont think britain comes well out of the opium wars wherever you are in the world.
Even if it's just for the destruction of Old Summer Palace
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_Summer_Palace
which seems to me pretty similar to what the taliban were doing when they were in power in Afghanistan.
