I work in the ad industry. Brands are obsessed with accumulating 'likes,' whilst not realising it doesn't represent any return on investment. Eventually it'll buckle when individuals leave in droves due to being inundated with insipid bullshit from brands, and then the brands leave because they realise it's all a massive waste of time and money.
