I was on my bike, with Offspring A in the tagalong.
After it passed, we followed it down the road a bit as that was the way we were heading anyway.
It slowed down to negotiate a roundabout. I didn't realise, and threaded through the buses and official vehicles until we were almost upon the torch. We cycled for a few moments with some chaps on fancy race bikes who were there officially. Got cheered on by the massed crowds. Was lots of fun.
They slowed right down and I thought it best not to go any further. I knocked over a small child while leaving the main road. Those tagalongs need lots of turning space.
