those are some of the sweetest childhood memories i have... russian cartoons were so much better!

You're not wrong. I grew up in 1970s Britain, and so - with very few exceptions - had no exposure to high quality animation as a child. Then Mrs Apollo started showing the elder miss Apollo the cartoons of her own youth, and bozhe moi..!
