The Credit Crunch
Did you score a bargain in Woolworths?
Meet someone nice in the queue to withdraw your 10p from Northern Rock?
Get made redundant from the job you hated enough to spend all day on b3ta?
How has the credit crunch affected you?

i'm broke
have been for many years - havent got a clue what to do - i keep getting letters from creditors all the time. i have really had enough!
i've tried to negotiate, i have tried writing to them, i've tried paying them - but they all do the same thing - demand the full amount now....!
...but i think i may have been over thinking this - if i dont pay they can take me to court, if i dont pay the courts they can send in the bailiffs, if i dont let the bailiffs in - whats the worse they can do - make me bankrupt - so what - i dont own my house or a car.

you could contact
Christians Against Poverty. They do debt counselling.
I don't know how good they are though , or whether there are other similar organisations in the UK.

Same to anyone else in a predicament. It will show you your rights and how to ensure you are not bamboozled by debt collectors, how to negotiate and make the negotiations stick.
Some creditors are complaining that this site shows you loopholes and tips on how to tie your creditors in knots, thus avoiding repaying some debts, but I can't comment on this being true, all I can say is the advice is excellent and has helped many people.
No, I'm not on commission, I just firmly believe that you should be able to live your life without worry and stress over this kind of affair.
Good luck
