I keep it in my rucksack and whip it out in the office instead.

I get horribly uncomfortable
if my boyfriend tries to surreptitiously hold my hand under the table at any sort of social gathering. Completely illogical, because my friend and his girlfriend are usually there trying to suck each others' face off, so surreptitous hand holding is nothing really. Meh.
