Lies Your Parents Told YouI once overheard a neighbour use the phrase "nig nog". I asked my father what it meant. As quick as a flash he said, "It's a type of biscuit. A bit like a hobnob." LiarsMy parents used to say, if you stayed in the bath after all the water had drained out, you'd be sucked down the drain.
Also, the old one... "Parsnips taste just like roast potatoes!" So, I tried them... I nearly gipped.
