Lies Your Parents Told YouI once overheard a neighbour use the phrase "nig nog". I asked my father what it meant. As quick as a flash he said, "It's a type of biscuit. A bit like a hobnob." air raid shelterAnother one my parents told me was that the previous owners of our house had had an air-raid shelter. My dad bricked it up when we first moved in. About 15 years later I found out that the air raid shelter was in fact a nuclear bunker!
