Lies Your Parents Told YouI once overheard a neighbour use the phrase "nig nog". I asked my father what it meant. As quick as a flash he said, "It's a type of biscuit. A bit like a hobnob." Car StickerWhen I was a kid a friend of my dad's told me that the GB stickers on some cars were given to you after passing your driving test and it meant getting better.... I felt pretty stupid when many years later one of my friends told me it stood for Great Britain. Git.
