Lies Your Parents Told YouI once overheard a neighbour use the phrase "nig nog". I asked my father what it meant. As quick as a flash he said, "It's a type of biscuit. A bit like a hobnob." Can you beat this? BTW: We're keeping this thread open for an extra week as we're enjoying the stories so much.

magic eyesMy mum also told me she had a magic eye & could se what was happening behind her back. I did this with my kid & it worked because I could always hear what he was doing.
Then one night we were getting ready to go out, but we hadn'told him a baby sitter was coming & he asked me " You will keep an eye on me with your magic eye while you're out, won't you?"
My child thought I was leaving him. How bad did I feel?
