RightI once had a racist cabbie take me home from work. He went from the usual 'taking our jobs / they're all scrounging' rant, to telling me how he spent an entire year being clocked in and out of the Thames Barrier building site. Apparently him and all his mates used to pay a tenner to the night guard, and collect a full night's wages while they slept.
I have no doubt whatsoever that the suspicion that racists have about people coming here to scrounge is based on their own failings.
