This is a question Political Correctness Gone Mad

Freddy Woo writes: "I once worked on an animation to help highlight the issues homeless people face in winter. The client was happy with the work, then a note came back that the ethnic mix of the characters were wrong. These were cartoon characters. They weren't meant to be ethnically anything, but we were forced to make one of them brown, at the cost of about 10k to the charity. This is how your donations are spent. Wisely as you can see."

How has PC affected you? (Please add your own tales - not five-year-old news stories cut-and-pasted from other websites)

totally OT
But I once sat next to corpulent ex footballer and star of New Order videos, John Barnes, on a train on the way back from London to my hometown of (near) Liverpool. Just in case we hadn't clocked who he was, he felt the need to use his phone on a regular basis, starting the conversation with "Hi, John Barnes here" in a vaguely Troy Mclure style.

As he left his seat to go for a piss, one of the two blokes in the seat opposite went "Oooh, John Barnes. Put on a few pounds, hasn't he..."

I spent the journey humming World in Motion under my breath to annoy him, because I'm childish like that.

I make no comment about the tolerance of Scousers. However if my mother were a b3tard, she would. She's worked in central 'pool for 40 years. Enough said.
