My Dad told me this story:
Once he was walking to go fishing across a field with my Uncle Ronnie, his brother-in-law, and apparently there was something floating in the air, except it was entirely stationary and rectangular, as if a building was erected but missing the bottom floors.
Dad: 'Erm, can you see that?'
Ronnie: 'Er, yeh...'
And they carried on walking and talking of other things.
This was sometime in the '70s and apparently their heads simultaneously just went 'tilt' and they carried on regardless.
His description: about the size of a double decker bus, about 60 foot up, a metallic box but not that shiny that it was reflective, and he could see pipes and bolts, square plates and hatches and such, as if it was just an ordinary earth bound object, save for the fact that it was above them, and they passed directly underneath it and it made no noise, it didn't move, and they felt nothing.
It stayed there and did absolutely nothing for a long while whilst they fished until eventually it was gone, they didn't see it leave, they heard nothing, they didn't speak of it, they carried on fishing, then they went home and told no-one.
My Dad told me this once when a tad drunk and we were alone, sometime in the '90s, and he seemed like he was confessing it, and seemed afraid something might happen by telling it, or that I would think less if him in some way.
He seemed scared, he's never scared, he's not that kinda guy, and I had to assure him I believed him.
And I do.
He thanked me.

So did I! I rather enjoyed it! Who woulda thunk it of Donna!?
But actually the first time I saw The Borg on Star Trek I wondered if the designers of that had been there...

I was so annoyed
after last week's cliffhanger I'll happily admit to having spent this week scouring the internet for clues as to what was going to happen next!
I'll happily admit to having a bit of a cry at today's episode, but I'm a girl so it's allowed.
The Borg! Ahh Hugh.. I quite fancied him.

Hugh was adorable for a Borg
He just made you want to pet him and take him home.
