Super Mario Brothers
The original game, on Nintendo. I've made it to level 8-7 and that's it. Usually I bite it on 1-2. I rush things too much. And yes I'm still trying twenty-something years later. I have beaten plenty of difficult games, even on hard. So why the fuck can't I kill Bowser? I beat the second Mario goddammit, why not the first? I once won a Mortal Kombat tournament, but I can't rescue the princess.

I used to play this most weekends
With my ex-girlfriends younger brother.

We used to complete it every time so the challenge was always to finish it without dying. Which we did on a regular basis.

The only tricky bit is the guys with the hammers just before the final castle.

You beat Bowser by running under him when he jumps and hitting the drawbridge button. Simple.

Hmm.
This is an achievement, for I believe the levels only go up to 8-4, where the bloody irritating repeating castle of maze-ness confuses it all. I have completed it solely on the basis that I didn't own any other games for a good while.

I don't know what the last level is, I've never been there. I was guessing. I know I've made it to 8 but that's about it. Even my mom has defeated bowser.

Did you know there is a -1 level.
You have to do a backwards jump at the end of the 1st enderground lev just before the end warp (not the 3 on the otherside)

i've completed the first one, the second one(in about an hour and a half), the third one(loads of times, it's great) and the lost levels
