		» The nicest thing someone's ever done for me

Not as heartwarming and intense as other people's...
but oh well.
a while ago i was having a general rough time and was having a 'crying on public transport' day, which is always nice, getting ignored by other cityrail commuters whilst you're sobbing.
anyway.
a bunch of schoolgirls came on, the usual annoying, loud princess types. they headed straight for me and i got a group hug from a bunch of 15 year olds, who sat down with me and made sure i was alright. it was really sweet of them so i never forgot it.

whilst walking through an idyllic park scene on a sunday
we were discussing how to dispose of a dead body (i don't know why). i was campaigning for the 'best thing to do is feed them to pigs' road, a la the movie snatch. my companions returned a blank look so i said, rather loudly,
'look, we've all seen snatch, haven't we ladies?'
pause.
fucksocks.

my only living grandparent
is my father's mother. whom dislikes me intensly. fun. one day, we had a conversation that went rather like this;
NAN: 'ere, emilybronte, where's that young friend of yours who spent christmas with us last year? she was such lovely lass.
EB: oh. um. that 'friend'? we don't...hang out anymore. she's moved interstate with a new, uhm, 'friend' of hers.
NAN: nevermind love, she'll know soon enough she missed out on a good thing. for now, she's just a fucking idiot, isn't she?
followed by lot's of knowing looks (on her behalf) and akward silences (on mine)
