A story I heard...
Some time in the 1980s, a group of pro-animal rights students hatched a plan to spray paint the words "Bradford University tests on animals" on the side of the lab there.
However, they got disturbed by security part way through and only managed the words:
"BRADFORD UNIVERSITY"
On the side of Bradford University. In 5ft lettering.

Round the Twist...
...was a kids TV show on in the early-mid 90s, usually involving a group of kids solving mysteries (I think? can't remember the exact premise of the show).
One particular episode involved a scarecrow that came to life and chased said kids round a lighthouse, which terrified me for several weeks afterwards.
If you saw it I'm sure it stuck with you for a long time...

As a supporter of Burnley FC
I have the option of buying tickets either in person at the ticket office, or via the post. Even last season when we were in the Premier League, you couldn't buy tickets online.
Oh, and they still have actual turnstiles that are operated by a foot pump by the ground staff to let you in.
I wouldn't want it any other way though. All these modern football grounds seem so souless compared to Turf Moor.

As a cash-strapped 17 year old...
I found a purse on a bench in town on the way home from college. Despite being totally skint, I handed the purse in to the police station later that day, complete with all the credit and debit cards.
Obviously, I took all the cash, I'm not a fucking idiot.
I got right pissed up that weekend if I remember correctly.
