I really liked the film
and im a hardcore trekkie, although, why cast simon pegg as scotty, poor choice, and yes indeed too many flares on the lens and not enough on the trousers

It wasn't bad, up until the point the captain had to bugger off for whatever reason and left a bunch of
teenagers in charge of a starship with no decent explanation.

It was fun, but when I left the cinema I nearly crashed the car thinking about the MASSIVE SCIENCE BOLLOCKS
Red matter? WTF. Then at bedtime I remembered it was all made up cobblers and slept soundly.

A word of warning
Do not watch that film with a cosmologist. I was that cosmologist, and I was lucky to survive unscathed.

If you are a Star Trek fan I highly recommend playing Star Trek Online.
It's free to play, the first few seasons are fun, but once you've levelled up it's all a bit of a grind. Going to try being a Klingon for a bit and see how that feels.
Like a pasty, I imagine.
